1/24/2026 at 4:00 PM: Judson ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26, due to extreme cold and the potential for hazardous icy conditions. This decision was made to prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and families. At this time, we anticipate returning to a normal schedule on Tuesday. Please continue to monitor the Judson ISD website and official social media channels for updates.

We have been monitoring the weather and have been in conversation with The National Weather Center to make sure we make well-informed decisions to ensure the safety of our students and staff. District staff will continue to closely watch the weather conditions over the weekend. Decisions about school cancellations will be made no later than 5:15 am on Monday, January 26th. Communication will be sent via email, text, phone call, school websites, and Judson ISD social media. All extracurricular and co-curricular activities for Saturday, January 24th have been cancelled. Additional updates are as follows: ▪️ Travel for all three high schools to the NCA cheer competition has been cancelled. ▪️ All athletic activities (indoor or outdoor) for Saturday, January 24th have been cancelled. ▪️ All outdoor activities that were scheduled for Friday, January 23rd have been rescheduled. ▪️ The only athletic indoor activity to continue as a regular schedule for Friday, January 23rd would be Wrestling and Basketball. ▪️ Elementary Honor Choir auditions have been cancelled. The SRP Hold has been released, and power has been fully restored to the building. All systems are operating normally. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

We are currently on an SRP hold due to a power outage in certain areas of the building. There is no threat to the campus. Maintenance is on site and checking the issue. We will provide updates as needed. Thank you for your patience.

Today our campus conducted a fire drill as part of routine safety procedures. There was no threat, and students and staff followed protocols successfully.

Today we conducted an SRP drill using the Shelter protocol due to a simulated hazardous material spill. This was only a drill to practice safety procedures. All students and staff were safe, and there was no real emergency. Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our campus prepared and safe.

The Apex Team would like to do a surprise, bonus weekend challenge for the school! For this challenge, we'll be looking at participation. Every student logged in, each share and each pledge will count as 1 participation point each. If a class reaches 100% logged in, they'll gain 10 extra points. On Monday we'll pick the class with the most participation from each grade level and they will earn a Winter Wonderland experience with Apex!

We need your help with a few morning safety reminders: - Please do not drop students off before 6:50 AM. Staff is not on duty before this time. -Please do not allow students to walk across the street without supervision. - Students should remain in their vehicles until staff come outside for morning arrival. This helps keep everyone safe. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe each morning!
